Rachel's Wedding Cake

I was so fortunate to do Rachel's wedding cake.  It is three layers of white butter cake with raspberry filling, iced in buttercream and coverd in fondant.  It has fondant accents and a ribbon bow.  I love the satin and daisies that the family put around it for a beautiful presentation.

Rachel had an outside reception which was a bit stressful with the weather.  After a while the rain started picking up and a family friend took it upon himself to protect the cake.  I love this picture!  Thankfully the rain didn't last long.

Mandy's Baby Shower

I absolutely love how this cake turned out!  It is a 6 and 9-inch tiers iced in buttercream with fondant accents.

Happy Easter

These are fun Easter cupcakes with buttercream grass with a Cadbury chocolate egg on top.  They are such a sweet addition to an Easter get together.

Lots of Cupcakes

This was a project of about 100 cupcakes. Half are chocolate, half are White Butter Cake.  Because these were going to feed a lot of people, we decided to make half of each flavored filled.  The chocolate are filled with a ding dong filling while the white are filled with raspberry.

Monster German Chocolate Cake

This is a monster of a German Chocolate Cake.  It is 6 layers, 10 inches across, of German Chocolate cake, iced and filled between the layers with the traditional coconut/nut icing made from scratch. This is enough cake to feed approximately 30 people.

Kayla's Birthday Cake

This is a strawberry cake, frosted in white buttercream with fondant flowers.  Happy Birthday, Kayla!

Rainbow Cake

This is a launch of a new series of cakes that are all about the cake.  The outside is simple, but the inside is amazing!  This is a rainbow cake for my daughter's 7th birthday and the guests (eight other 7-year-old girls) told me it "was the best cake ever!"

The inside is 6 layers of rainbow-goodness.

The new series of cakes are going to be simple.  Not necessarily white buttercream, but less decoration.

And they are going to be tall.

Next cake:  German Chocolate.  It should be delicious.

Make-a-Wish

I feel so honored to be able to make a cake for Make-a-Wish Foundation.  A very sweet little girl is turning 3 and loves princesses.  The top tier is Sleeping Beauty in a forest and the bottom is Ariel in the ocean.  I normally wouldn't add all the characters around (it's a little distracting), but I wanted to make sure that she had the full sets to take home and play with.

Both tiers are chocolate fudge cake with cream filling and buttercream frosting.  The accents are in fondant.  The carriage is covered in fondant and has all fondant accents.
